My Voice in America’s Democracy

An essay written by IHM 6th grader Lucca.

My voice may be small, but it can impact the government. I can change small things, and big things. My voice will be heard. I can stand for what is right, and defend my country against evil. My voice can and will change America.

One problem with my country that needs fixing is the borders. Some political leaders want to open the borders, and I can’t just stand by and let that happen. “A nation that cannot control its borders is not a nation.” (Ronald Reagan). America needs borders, or else someone evil could end all of it. As Ronald Reagan states, the borders of a nation is what holds the nation together. Without it, a nation could easily become endangered by people who don’t respect our country. A successful nation cannot stand like this! It can be torn apart if held in the wrong hands. Therefore, all Americans and I need strong borders so we don’t fall apart!

Another problem that needs fixing is the freedom of religion. Nowadays, some political leaders think religion is not necessary for day-to-day life, and obviously do the opposite of supporting it. Freedom is a basic human right, and so is practicing religion freely. I, as an American, cannot let this happen, because I believe that religion is a normal right every human should have! I hope a civilized president will be blessed by God to rule our country once and for all. May God bless all who dwell on this united nation, and all those who are currently suffering over this corrupt belief that religion doesn’t matter. Praise be to Jesus Christ!

Lastly, I believe that abortion is a grand evil, and it should be ended. It not only ends the life of an innocent human being, it implies that murder is okay! I can’t bear the unending killing happening all throughout America. No child in their own mother’s womb deserves to be slaughtered in this manner. A topic abortionists never speak or argue about is the fact that they were once in their mother’s womb. These people must open their eyes and realize that no matter what, everyone was made by the one true God. I genuinely believe that I can do something to change these things, and that it will touch the heart of whoever is affected by these lies. Long live Christ the King!
