Pro-Life Chalk Competition

The Students For Life have issued a Pro-Life art competition. Participating individuals are to submit their chalk designs made on pavement and the best piece wins a prize. The Saint John the Baptist Pro-Life League is competing as well. So far we have two entries completed.

Lenten Prayer Campaign

Tuesday, March 22, 2022, SJB Pro-Life League along with Bishop McManus hosted a prayer campaign at Planned Parenthood in Worcester. Along with the students, many others also participated in this peaceful protest against the evils of abortion. It was such a fitting time due to it being the season of Lent when we must offer both prayer and sacrifice. This campaign will certainly not be held in vain.

2022 March For Life and Thank You Video

January 21, 2022, after a year without the annual March For Life in DC, IHM School was happy to make an appearance once again. Braving the elements of January weather, these members of the Saint John the Baptist Pro-Life League trudged through the streets of our capital, spreading awareness to the horrors of abortion. The trip was a success and everyone returned home safely.

Upcoming Events [April 2022]

We have two major Pro-Life events that are to take place in April, which all are invited to attend. We hope to see you there!

APRIL 1ST — Doctor Pat Castle, founder of Liferunner Organization, will be a guest speaker at MacIsaac Hall. For those wishing to attend, the presentation begins at 1:45 pm.

APRIL 26th — Annual 5K Pro-life run. All are welcome to run or walk for such a great cause and patrons are accepted.

A Visit From Students For LIfe

October 25, 2021, Miss Mariah McCarron of the Students For Life campaign was invited to Immaculate Heart of Mary School to inform the members of the Pro-Life League of Pro-Life apologetics. She did a wonderful job in teaching us the proper way to further ensure the plea of the Pro-Life cause. At the end of the event, Miss McCarron was introduced to the 2021-2022 officers and director for the Saint John the Baptist Pro-Life League.

40 Days For Life Prayer Campaign with Bishop McManus

October 12th, 2021, Immaculate Heart of Mary School Students, proud members of the Saint John the Baptist Pro-Life League, were seen praying in front of Planned Parenthood, located in Worchester. Bishop McManus also joined the prayer campaign, leading those present in the Rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet. Despite the opposing forces–both visible and invisible–the students were not moved but continued to stand fast.

Fox News host makes must-see emotional plea to end abortion

Below, Ben Domenech, an American writer, blogger, editor, and television commentator, gave a small but impactful plea on Fox News about the parasite of abortion. It is such a shock that the video was not censored, given that today anything against popular opinion is completely suppressed.

IHM October Bazaar

On October 9th, 2021, the annual fall bazaar was held at Immaculate Heart of Mary School. During this day of festivities, the Pro-Life League was hard at work, distributing popcorn as a fundraiser for the upcoming March For Life trip to Washington D.C. Business boomed and many donations were made! In addition to the fundraiser, we were privileged to meet two families who had just welcomed a new member! What a great way to strengthen the Pro-Life cause!

Pro-Life March and Poster Contest, Worcester, MA 2021

In January 2021, students and faculty of the Immaculate Heart of Mary School marched down Main Street in Worcester, along with many other pro-life citizens, to protest the aborting of innocent young children. Below is a great video of the event put together by Brother Anthony.

The Diocese of Worcester, around the same time as the March, launched a Pro-Life poster contest for grades 7 through 12. Immaculate Heart of Mary School had many great entries. Caroline Towne (Grade 7) and Agnes Sales (Grade 8) each won prizes on the Diocese level.
